About the formula
Description
Smelling as sensible as it looks, Lily of the Valley features in perfumery like a cult note, as many perfumes or even series are focused on this flower. Green, white floral, soapy, Lily of the Valley features in perfumes since 1956 ( or maybe earlier) when Christian Dior, along Edmond Roudnitska launched Diorissimo, a fragrance which was gravitating around the scent of Muguet (french), not only because of the smell of the flower, but because it was said that Lily of the Valley brings luck. Dior was so superstitious that he even sewed sprigs of the plant into the hems of his early dresses for luck. Known also as May Bells, May Lily, Our Lady’s Tears, Mary’s tears, today I am sharing with you an accord that mimics the smell of this delicate flower. Composed by Octavian Coifan, a famous romanian perfumer who is living in Paris, this accord belongs in one of his books called 1000 Perfumes. Also, you can check his Chanel No5 formula down on my page. Let me know if you tried this formula and what do you think about it. Also, if you think this post is useful, don’t hesitate to share it, it can help others and also supports my work. See you soon! 🧪
A delicate and enchanting Lily of the Valley accord, reminiscent of the iconic Diorissimo fragrance. This formula captures the green, white floral, and slightly soapy facets of the flower, offering a touch of luck and elegance.
