About the formula
Introduction
Wonder how we get that amazing blueberry note into blueberry morning? Look no further! Here is half of what goes into that amazing note that is driving the fragrance world crazy. It is actually comprised of two different blueberry accords. One more realistic and one slightly more towards the fantasy side to give it a well rounded feel. The challenge when it comes to making fruity notes is getting the realism down. But most don’t realize when you smell a banana or a pineapple that is has this almost rotting or sulfuric smell way in the back that it naturally would have because it, well is decomposing slowly. So with the use of certain materials like Ribes Mercaptan (I say it smells like a concentrated fart) are what gives these kinds of realistic tones that make it more than just a runts candy smell or taste. They also can be more than “fruity” in a linear sense. They can be woody, spicy, floral, sour, sweet, etc. so it’s about finding that perfect balance. The Goldilocks. Not too sweet. Not too sour. Just right 👌 What accords or I might even post a formula too if you want to see one? Let me know in the comments and I’ll see what I can make happen ☺️ Posting this kind of content is what got me wanting to do perfumery in the very beginning. To learn about what perfume is and to help educate and open the industry and secretive perfumery world to the general public. I want to empower my customers and anyone interested in knowing what it is that you are using and what it truly is. I don’t speak for every brand in the fragrance world. But at least I can start a common dialog about what I do for a start. Disclaimer: We do not use any premade accords or “fragrance oils” in any of our compositions and is all made in house and all original creations.
This fragrance formula captures the essence of a blueberry note, using a combination of realistic and fantasy-inspired accords. It incorporates Ribes Mercaptan for a natural, slightly sulfuric nuance, offering a complex and multifaceted aroma beyond a simple fruity scent.
