Luebke, William tgsc, (1989): Benzoin
Fraterworks: This is a wonderfully sweet and fine benzoin resinoid made from only grade a tears (the highest quality). furthermore, to maintain its natural certifiability it is diluted to 50% in natural triethyl citrate (an odourless diluent isolated from citrus oil).
Many benzoin products have chemical side odours (or perhaps worse, no odour at all) because they are produced in a relatively careless way owing to their use more as a fixative than a note in itself, but this benzoin from v. mane fils pays homage to the raw material — being made with as much dignity and care as it would receive if it were the finest rose extract.
