Fraterworks: With its almost minty camphoraceous freshness, linalool oxide is a perfect aroma chemical for naturalising reconstituted essential oils or adding a lovely fresh earth note to fragrances. if you want to mimic the scent of a forest floor dank with decaying leaves, look no further than linalool oxide — it's so close it seems like cheating!
In the classic french tradition of perfume making, florals need a little "ugly" and so we often rely on the likes of celery seed oil, civet absolute and aroma chemicals like cis jasmone, but linalool oxide is an often overlooked alternative.
It blends incredibly well with fenchone alpha, ambrinol 95, ambrofix and orcanox, and bases such as amazonia™, suralette™ extra, artemal™ and verdantol.
