About the formula
Description
Luckily, I can extand the subject with another post about this note. Tomato Leaf by Illuminun, Italian Leather by Memo, or the simple Tomato by Demeter are a few fragrances that explore this aromatic note in their composition. Familiar to everyone, tomato leaf accord in perfumery features green, sharp, aromatic with some fig aspects, as the accord about this note features Stemone, a must have aromachemicals which together with Gamma Octalactone can mimic the smell of figs. (See the post down on my page). Here it’s a tomato leaf accord formula made by Givaudan for people to test out the power of aromachemicals and how they can work together. My suggestion when blending with tomato leaf is to consider it a simple green accord and don’t get intimidate by the name of this note, as it blends well with leather, patchouli, citruses and personally I would love to blend it with a really dark notes like birch or incense. Let me know if you test it and what do you think about it! What composition that contains tomato leaf would you be curious to smell? Also, if you think this post is useful, don’t hesitate to share it. It may help others who are looking for information and also supports my work. See you soon! 🧪🍅
🍅In my last post, Green notes in perfumery, the interest for tomato leaf was bigger than then others, even though it’s a controversial note, as some of us can’t agree with the fact that tomatoes belong to perfumery. The truth is that tomato leaf can be divine is it’s done well.
