Fraterworks: Geraniol is one of the four most common rose alcohols (along with phenyl ethyl alcohol, nerol and citronellol), present in all rose varieties. geraniol extra basf, with > 98% purity, is the premium non-natural form of this material and makes an excellent cost-effective alternative to the more expensive natural isolate. for anything but the most luxurious fragrances and natural blends, we recommend this product over the natural.
As well as forming a key part of a rose complex, geraniol adds freshness and lift to fragrances. it blends beautifully with phenyl ethyl alcohol, citronellol 98, rose oxide laevo, and rhodinol ex geranium bourbon.
