About the formula
Description
We recently bought a nice pomelo and have had it ripening on the kitchen table for about two weeks. As time has gone on, it's throwing about three metres of scent that has such a characteristic styrallyl acetate aroma - it's uncanny, and delightful. After peeling the flesh, some nasal studies, and also enjoying the bitter fruit within, I mocked up a quick accord based on this particular pomelo. It's slightly stylised for fragrance purposes but otherwise attempts to be true to the character of the fruit - a strong essence of styrallyl acetate, extremely zesty and sour limonene edge, backed with greenness. To be more true to the intensity of the real fruit the styrallyl acetate could be increased (with a proportionate decrease in lindenol and linalool) but this general start is delightful. I hope you make it and enjoy.
A quick accord for the community that gives so much.
