Excited to share this ultra marine accord crafted by the talented Alexandre Helwani for one of his collaborations - PERSONNE by @iconofly. 🌹🙏🏼 @theperfumechronicles Thank you so much for participating in this project, Alex! -This accord is showcased in PERSONNE which I created for Iconofly. It is called the Poseidon accord and was meant to evoke the scent of the sea that carried Ulysses during his Odyssey. The keystone of the accord is Oarweed Absolute. I elected it against Seaweed Absolute due to its drier, slightly woodier profile which brings out its saltiness. In the formula, the Oarweed overdose plays the part of Oakmoss of which it is a wonderful natural alternative, mostly because it is not regulated in any way. Oarweed captures the scent of the sea like no other material. It is less fishy than the more common Seaweed Absolute and, in my opinion, finer. I paired it with Ambergris, obviously, to enhance a briny sensation as well as mellowing the harsher parts of the Oarweed. The Melonal nat. is obviously marine and imparts an undeniable volume and clarity to the accord. The Olive Leaf Absolute, while it may seem like an odd addition, makes complete sense, its slightly rancid, harsh greenness brings both body and lift to this accord. The marine facet of PERSONNE was further enhanced with Coriander EO, Peppermint EO, Hemp EO and Yellow Mandarin EO which I find crucial in building natural marine accord. Pink Pepper CO2 and Sea Fennel are useful modifiers.-
