Wuyi Rock tea comes from the rocky, mineral-rich soil on the Wuyi Mountains. The Wuyi Mountains are in the north-western part of the Fujian province of China. As such, the tea has a strong minerality (called Yan Yun, which leave a cool/rocky/metallic after taste) with facets of cinnamon (the particular cultivar I'm aiming for here is Rougui, loosely translated into "Cinnamon Meat"), a hints of fruity/osmanthus aroma, and deep honey sweetness.
