About the formula

Mémoire Dorée is an EDP-strength alcohol-based fragrance built around a single emotional idea the feeling of rediscovering something precious that time had quietly hidden away. It opens with a confident burst of bergamot, pink pepper and cardamom; bright, spiced and alive, like turning the key to a room that hasn’t been opened in years. The Structure The heart is where the soul of the fragrance lives. Rose, orris root, geranium and clary sage form a floral-aromatic core that is never loud or overtly feminine it is soft, powdery and deeply familiar in the way that old things often are. Orris root in particular is the ingredient that gives this formula its unmistakable vintage signature, carrying that dry, violet-like powdery-ness that instantly reads as old world and irreplaceable. The base is warm, unhurried and generous. Sandalwood and cedarwood provide a woody cradle, benzoin resinoid adds a balsamic antiquity, and ambroxan lifts the whole composition with a skin-close musky warmth. Vanilla absolute arrives last soft and cozy, never sweet, more like a memory of warmth than warmth itself.
