PerfumersWorld: Rice bran oil is a fairly stable fixed oil with a shelf life of up to 1 year when kept cool. it has the almost ideal blend (~1:1) of mono and poly unsaturated oils with high levels of vitamin e and gamma-oryzanol.rice bran oil is a bland smelling oily carrier oil. it has a viscous texture with slow absorption into the skin. ideal for mixing with other lighter carrier oils or blends (10-20%) to increase richness to aid a prolonged massage without constant re-application.not really recommended as a solvent in perfumery compounds due to poor solubility of resins, citrus oils (terpenes), powders and crystals.
