Caraway Seed “Superior” Oil

Fraterworks: Caraway seed (actually a fruit not a seed) is often confused with cumin seed due to the similarity in appearance (both are from the apiaceae family). the main visible difference is that caraway seeds are crescent shaped with raised ridges while cumin seeds have smoother ridges and are not curved.
The main odiferous component of caraway is carvone giving it a herbal minty quality while cumin has a more animal or skin like scent owing to the cuminaldehyde dominance.
Caraway seed features in le male by francis kurkdjian for gaultier (1995), declaration by cartier, tom ford's santal blush (2011), and the beautiful hypnotic poison (1998) by dior.
Our oil hails from the netherlands, long the preferred source of caraway seed oil to the top luxury fragrance houses.
