About the formula
This formula builds on the work of Philip Kraft, Philip Goutell and Christine Ledard in their article ”From Rallet No 1 To Chanel No5 versus Mademoiselle Chanel No 1” as published in Perfumer & Flavorist magazine, volume 32 October 2007 [pp. 36 – 48]. Additions and corrections have been made to incorporate the bases most likely used by perfumer Ernest Beaux based upon the later development of this fragrance into Chanel No 5. Additional changes restore the natural animalic materials and prohibited musk Ambrette.
