The Poseidon Accord
This accord, aptly named Poseidon, aims to recreate the scent of the sea that accompanied Ulysses on his epic journey. The key element is Oarweed Absolute, chosen over Seaweed Absolute for its drier, woodier profile that accentuates its salty character.
The Oarweed Absolute
Oarweed Absolute stands out as a truly exceptional material, capturing the essence of the sea with unmatched authenticity. It offers a less fishy aroma compared to Seaweed Absolute, boasting a more refined and captivating scent.
Additional Notes
To enhance the briny sensation and soften the Oarweed's harsher aspects, Ambergris was incorporated. Melonal nat. contributes a marine quality, amplifying the accord's volume and clarity. Olive Leaf Absolute, despite its seemingly unconventional presence, adds body and lift to the accord with its slightly rancid, green notes.
Marine Accents
To further enhance the marine facet of the fragrance, Coriander EO, Peppermint EO, Hemp EO, and Yellow Mandarin EO were incorporated. These essential oils play a crucial role in building a natural marine accord. Pink Pepper CO2 and Sea Fennel act as modifiers, adding complexity and depth to the overall scent.
